Master Accounting Scholarships at Univ. of Lausanne


Accounting Scholarships Such assistance should not be used to complement studies needed to be enrolled in a Master's degree and should not be used for further studies or Master EMBAs.

The number and duration of grants

Total
Accounting Scholarships grant is CHF 1600 .- per month from 15 September to 15 July, for the duration of which does not exceed the minimum requirement of the program period (in accordance with the program, year and a half or two years are reduced placement exempt paid or semester, if any). Selection procedure

Accounting Scholarships Candidates complete the "UNIL Master's Grant" form and submit their application to the Office for socio-cultural affairs (SASC, Unicentre, University of Lausanne, CH-1015 Lausanne, info.sasc@unil.ch) by 15 December 2011 at the latest. The application is examined by the University Rectorate to determine whether the candidate is admissible. In the event of a positive decision, the application is forwarded by the SASC to the UNIL Faculty responsible for the Master's on which the candidate wishes to be enrolled. The Accounting Scholarships Faculty selects applications and notifies the SASC of its opinion based on the candidate's qualities, motivation and suitability for the Master's programme. The SASC forwards shortlisted applications to the selection committee which will award grants to students meeting all criteria according to the available budget.

Decisions are not open to appeal.

Selection criteria

The Accounting Scholarships grants are intended more particularly for students who distinguished themselves in their university studies and who have difficulty meeting their financial needs for the duration of the Master's. It is however necessary that the candidates have sufficient financial means to support themselves during the complementary studies that may be required prior to enroll on the Master's degree.

Postdoctoral Fellowship Accounting Scholarships


The Fellowship Accounting Scholarships will provide an opportunity for independent research, although the holder will usually work in close collaboration with established research groups. Applications are invited in the field of climate science related to the investigation of paleo-ocean processes through records of ocean properties over any time scale or through the application of physical or mathematical models. We seek to appoint a researcher who utilizes or makes observations of paleoclimate proxy records (geochemical, sedimentological, and biological) and interprets them in the context of physical models of the ocean-climate system. Accounting Scholarships Interaction with relevant research groups in other Departments or research institutes in Cambridge will be encouraged.

Accounting Scholarships Applications are invited from people who have completed their PhD degree or equivalent within the last three years at any university, but normally excluding Cambridge and Harvard. Tenure is for between two and three years within the stipend range £27,319 and £35,646 per annum and an annual research allowance (£10k).

Two PhD Positions Accounting Scholarships in Statistics, Uppsala University, Sweden

University of Uppsala Offers Two PhD positions in Statistics at the Department of Statistics.

The discipline of Statistics analyses and develops methods to interpret and draw scientific conclusions from data. The main research areas at the Division of Statistics are time series analysis/econometrics and structural equation modelling.

Eligible for a PhD position is the student with a Master degree, completed courses of 240 ECTS points, whereof at least 60 ECTS points on Master level, or equivalent. Further, the specific entry requirement is 90 ECTS points in statistics or equivalent. Solid background in mathematics and in applied science is considered a merit.

Neuroecology PhD Scholarships accounting scholarships


Scholarship Description

Two (2) PhD scholarships are available at the University of Western Australia in the laboratory of the newly-appointed Western Australian Premier’s Fellow, Professor Shaun P. Collin. The laboratory comprises an active group of neurobiologists with interests in the neural basis of behaviour in vertebrates and invertebrates. The research of the group lies within the field of neuroecology, with a focus on the processing of environmental signals by both the peripheral and central nervous systems of aquatic and terrestrial organisms. Applicants should hold, or expect to obtain, a first class honours degree (or equivalent) in biology, neuroscience, zoology, anatomy, marine biology or related disciplines.
